1. Service description
FormalMail is a free AI-powered tool that generates formal letter templates based on user-provided descriptions. We help you find the right recipient and draft an appropriate letter.
2. No legal advice
FormalMail is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The letters generated are templates. You are responsible for reviewing them before sending and for any consequences of sending them. For matters with serious legal implications, consult a qualified attorney.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use FormalMail to:
- Send threatening, harassing, or defamatory content
- Commit fraud or impersonate others
- Generate spam or unsolicited commercial messages in violation of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or equivalent laws
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Circumvent our rate limits or security measures
4. Accuracy of recipient information
We source recipient contact information from public sources (official websites, legal notices, government registries). We cannot guarantee accuracy or currency. Always verify the recipient address before sending, especially for postal mail.
5. AI-generated content
Letters are generated by a large language model (Groq / Llama). Despite our prompts and quality controls, the output may occasionally contain errors, outdated legal references, or inappropriate tone. Always read and edit the output before sending.
6. Availability
We provide the service "as is" without warranties. We may limit or suspend access at any time for maintenance, abuse prevention, or any other reason.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FormalMail and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to: rejected complaints, denied refunds, missed deadlines, legal disputes, or reputational harm.
8. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where FormalMail is operated. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
