Is FormalMail free?
Yes. FormalMail is free to use. We may introduce premium features (PDF formatting, saved history) in the future, but letter generation will always have a free tier.
Is the letter legally binding?
FormalMail is a writing assistant, not a legal service. The letters we generate are templates meant to help you communicate effectively. For matters with serious legal implications, consult a qualified attorney.
What if you don't find my recipient?
We try a cascade: local office in your country first, then regional, then international headquarters. If none is found publicly, we generate the letter anyway with placeholders for you to fill the address manually.
What languages do you support?
The interface is available in 12 languages. For letter generation, we support the official languages of 55+ countries. The letter is always written in the language expected by the recipient, not by you.
Do you store my data?
We temporarily store your input and the generated letter to help improve the service and debug issues. We never share personal data with third parties. You can request deletion at any time via our contact page.
